Emergency and Crisis Response

A Call to Action and Sustainability

Global climate and environmental crises impact every dimension of human life ranging from physical, biological, and psychological health to food, water, and economic security. While these shocks affect everyone, their heaviest toll is borne by the poorest and most vulnerable communities.

Urgent regional and global realities highlight the scale of this challenge:

Up to 118 million extremely poor individuals on the continent are projected to face exposure to drought, floods, and extreme heat by 2030, severely threatening poverty alleviation efforts.
Africa is warming faster than the global average, with projections indicating the potential loss of all its glaciers by the 2040s.
The World Bank estimates that unaddressed climate change, natural disasters, conflicts, and floods could push an additional 40 million Africans into extreme poverty by 2030.

Because emergencies and crises know no borders, we are committed to tackling climate shocks, natural disasters, and conflicts through structured, proactive humanitarian responses across Africa and worldwide.

Our Strategic Pillars

We address severe crises and build long-term community resilience through six core focus areas:

Implementing proactive measures to combat rapid environmental shifts.
Providing rapid intervention and support following natural catastrophes.
Delivering humanitarian assistance to populations affected by instability.
Securing essential resources and nutritional stability in crisis zones.
Empowering local populations to prepare for and withstand future shocks.
Collaborating across sectors to maximize humanitarian reach and impact.
